Finals are coming.
But, there are some ways to cope with them. Even make them easier!
1. Set aside time beforehand to study.
Write it in your planner! Set it as an alarm in your phone! Either way, if you set a time to study then you can't schedule other things during that time, like grabbing coffee with some friends, watching a movie, or just vegging out on Netflx.
2. Set aside time to relax.
This is always crucial for me, otherwise I completely stress out and start freaking out over nothing. Get your nails done, make time to sleep in, take a long bath, or get your favorite dessert. Do something just for you (and your sanity). But, make sure you study first!
3. Go to the pound with your flash cards and study with puppies and kittens.
My local shelter literally has a "cat room" where a ton of cats roam free. How awesome would it be to study with an animal that needs some love and attention? Read them your flash cards!
4. Get your exercise.
Whenever you exercise you tend to feel better generally. So, fight the exhaustion and go to a yoga or spin class! Swim a few laps! You got this!
5. Keep it all in perspective.
Does how you do in finals define your life? No. You are allowed to not be brilliant at everything. I love the quote by Einstien "Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing it is stupid." You are brilliant at something, it just may not be that calc 2 final.
May the odds ever be in your favor!!
