"Thank you" is something that we definitely don't say enough these days. So to get into the Thanksgiving spirit, here are a few ways to say "thank you" to those around you. I challenge you to do some, or all, of these to those around you!
1. Write Letters to Your Family and Friends About Why you are Thankful for Them.
I do this every year! With a family as large as mine I have to start writing the letters in early November in order to get them all done in time - but it is SO worth it! It makes everyone feel so special and loved. I cook a special Thanksgiving breakfast and have everyone's letters on their plates to read before they eat. Full hearts AND full stomachs make a great start to the holiday!
2. Leave a Little Gift for Your Mailman
It can be something as simple as a gift card! Just leave it in your mailbox in a way that will make him/her pay attention to it and address it to them!
3. Bring Baked Goods With you to Work or School to Share
This is a great way to show appreciation to those who you spend much of your day with!
4. Purchase a New Set of Oven Mitts for the Cooks in Your Life
Every cook could always use a new set of these around the Holidays... Myself included! ;) Besides, if they have abundant leftovers and/or baked goodies who are they going to think of sharing them with first? The person who gave them oven mitts, of course!
5. Give Gift Cards to Those who Serve you on a Regular Basis
These people are everywhere! Odds are the same person has served you more than once, either at a grocery store, your favorite fast food place, or the coffee shop. Give them a $5 (or even more) gift card as a way to thank them for serving you for so long!
